In the third and last common working phase in Berlin in November 2018, we reviewed and discussed the scripts and flow diagrams of the different stations in the game. By imagining each migrant character entering a station, we could identify different procedures, missing elements and levels of complexity per station.
We discussed how to create a common European framework for the procedures, looked at what is common between the local practices in our countries and compared this with European law. We also talked about topics such as time management in the game, the capacity of players and how to include chance cards to influence the pathways in the game. It provided us with enough information and topics to continue our work in the next months to present a first basic European version in March 2019, when we will have a first try-out of the game.
